World IA Day is a one-day, annual celebration focused on the practice and education of Information Architecture. Our celebration brings together a diverse community including information architects, user experience designers, content strategists, product managers, developers, scholars, and students. We come together to talk about and shape the future of Information Architecture. Each year locations around the world curate content based on a global theme. This year our theme is Information Strategy and Structure. Join the Washington DC location on February 18, 2017 as information architecture practitioners around the DMV area come together to celebrate, share knowledge, and discuss the importance of strategy and structure within our communities and economies. Metro Directions:Take the Red Line to the Dupont Circle Station, South Entrance. Head north on 19th St NW toward Connecticut Ave NW. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Massachusetts Ave NW. You’ll enter the building at the main entrance (glass doors). Check wmata.com for any planned track work or delays. SafeTrack 2017 is expected to be begin in early February, so plan accordingly. Parking Directions:Parking is limited in the area; we recommend using sites like Parking Panda to assist.
