Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner with Agile Business Analysis (BA) Training The Excella Consulting Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) with Agile Business Analysis course covers the fundamentals of being a Product Owner while focusing on the role of the Business Analyst working in an Agile context.  This includes discovering the business need to ensuring the product or system is delivered according to business expectations. This interactive and engaging two-day session will highlight techniques used to elicit requirements and validate functionality against acceptance criteria. Common agile analysis best practices and challenges will be addressed and supplemented by group discussion with fellow analysis practitioners. Course Outline This course starts with a brief overview of the Agile and Scrum frameworks, along with the Product Owner Role. From there, the curriculum includes: Scrum and Product Ownership Product Vision and Roadmapping Story Maps and Release Planning Tracking and Forecasting BA Role on an Agile team How a BA fits into Scrum ceremonies Requirement elicitation, analysis and modeling Requirement verification and validation, including Specification by Example Techniques for eliciting requirements Lightweight specifications Functional vs. non-functional requirements About Your Trainer Richard Cheng, Principal Consultant at Excella Consulting, provides consulting services to commercial and federal clients in the Washington, DC area. Richard coaches, mentors, and trains clients in understanding and implementing Agile and Scrum. He also leads Excella’s Agile Center of Excellence. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Richard has authored several publications on project management, presented at Agile and PMI sponsored industry events, is a member of Mensa, and holds certifications including Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified LeSS Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). Richard is a founder and on the executive committee of the Agile Delivery for Agencies, Programs, and Teams (ADAPT), an Agile government task force . Price, Date, and Location The registration fee for this two-day course is $1,300.00 (inclusive of all taxes and fees).  This fee includes: Certification fees Two-year membership to the Scrum Alliance Training manuals and supplies Hot breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snacks each day Parking reimbursement up to $20 per day Registration is now open.  Classes on both days will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Arlington Tech eXchange (ATX) at 2300 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 610, Arlington, Virginia (located two blocks from the Court House metro station on the Orange and Silver lines).  Nearby parking is available and will be reimbursed up to $20 per day. Hot breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be provided each day. Cancellation Policy Students submitting cancellation requests 10 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund.  Students submitting cancellation requests less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued credit toward a future Excella training course.  The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees.  Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered students will be refunded 100% of the registration cost they paid.
