You learn how UI Design, Front-End Engineering and Back End Engineering come together to creating web applications. Attendees will “choose their own adventure” and learn a discipline of their choice at this beginner's crash course. We will branch off into our own groups; designers will design, front-enders will JavaScript and backenders will database like nobody’s databased before. Requirements Laptop that is WiFi capable: Laptops are required to complete the course. However, if you do not have one and would simply like to attend as an observer, you're certainly welcomed to sign up and you'll still learn a lot! Atom - Text Editors Google Chrome (Even if you have another browser, please install Chrome for this project) Agenda Welcome: Snacks and Drinks will be provided Meet The Iron Yard Staff, Instructors, & Teaching Assistants Workshop: Participants will split off into disciplines to create their respective aspects of the app Q&A: Ask our team any and all of your questions about our programs and career opportunities in Austin Notes No previous experience is required. This event will be part lecture and part live demo, so come ready to code and design.
